Discord public chats to become searchable on Google
In short
Discord conversations on large public servers will soon be easier to find outside their own communities. The report says they may become searchable on Google.
This matters because more people could see public chats, which raises privacy concerns. The report does not say when the change begins or how users can opt out.
What the reporting says
Discord conversations on large public servers will soon reach audiences far beyond their communities, according to the report. The update raises privacy concerns because public chats may become searchable on Google, but the summary does not state when the change starts or which servers are affected. The immediate consequence is a wider audience for public chat content and a privacy trade-off for users.
Why it matters
